A two year Diploma in Pharmacy (D Pharm) course, affiliated to Pharmacy Council of India, was thus started. The college initially offered a one-year D-Pharm course to those who passed pre-degree science group and a two-year D-Pharm course to those who passed SSLC. In later years, passing second group science subjects was made the minimum qualification for the D-Pharm course. On 20th September 1994, the AMCP Managing Committee got registered as a charitable trust called ‘AMCP Trust’.
Doctor M Institute of Science & Technology (DMIST)
DMIST was instituted under AMCP trust. It started in 2002 by offering BSC MLT course affiliated with Punjab Technical University. Later it also became study centres for Sri Venkateswara University (2005), Vinayaka Mission University (2007), National Institute of Open Schooling - NIOS (2007). Allahabad Agricultural University (2005) and Global Open University (2010). Sri Venkiteswara University was the only university approved by PSC Kerala as equivalent to open MA course of Kerala University. Doctor M Institute of Science and Technology was the only examination center of Sri Venkateswara University in Kerala. In the past, the students used to go to Tirupati in Andhra Pradesh since Venkateswara University was the only UGC university approved by the Kerala Public Service Commission and Kerala University for promotions and appointments. A large number of Kerala teachers obtained promotions and appointments by enrolling in the PG program at SV University and taking their examinations at Doctor M Institute of Science and Technology, the only examination center of S V University in Kerala.
DMCC began in 2009 as a community college affiliated to IGNOU. Many courses were conducted on behalf of IGNOU.
In 2012, DMIST got affiliated as a study centre of Kerala University for its distant B.Com course.
In 2016, DMIST and DMCC moved to a permanent campus.
